"Excellent experience, the Doctor knew his stuff! I had both leaflets that needed repair (regurgitation occurring). One needed to be trimmed and the other needed a cord repair. He was the 3rd opinion my parents sought and the Doctor was located and practiced at the Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital in Lebanon, NH. My parents asked a ton of questions acquired through research on the internet, periodicals and this web site. This doctor studied the first and second opinions and tests already run and said "I'm 95% certain I can repair the mitral valve" and he said it with confidence! He had performed approx. 500 mitral valve surgeries over his 10/15 year practice and he was the Dept. head of Cardiac surgery at the hospital. His ratings were checked out via several different rating systems and other Doctors had recommended him for their own family members should they have needed a mitral valve operation . We did not favor a valve replacement as I was 41 at the time and did not want to be on a blood thinner for life and also did not want to go through the operation again in 10 or so years! We did discuss a plan B in case the repair could not be made so we were ready to go. The operation on 8/7/2018 went off like planned (3.5 hours) and the repair was 100% successful and I left the hospital 5 days later. No problems today with my heart and it has been checked several times and no murmurs can be detected !!! I highly recommend this Doctor, he does what he says he can do, he delvers!!! You need to select an experienced doctor who can hold up to significant questioning and deliver sound answers and can express confidence and we found one! "

"The only disappointment is that you are requesting a one paragraph limit. Dr McCullough was amazing. There were no surprises. Fantastic office, staff and Englewood Hospital is the place to be if you require a mitral valve repair. I believe my recovery time was shortened as a result of the pre-surgery education and post op followup and care that took place. My life is now changed. 100% of that credit to Dr McCullough and his fine professional staff. "

"From the moment I meet Dr. McCollough, I had the most confidence in his ability. The way he talked with me, just re-asurred me that everything was going to be alright. Six months later, I feel like a new person."

"I couldn't have picked a better doctor. Dr. McCullough is amazing. With my life I recommend him to anyone having to have a valve repair. Just as simple as he explained. Neither my family, friends or I could believe I had a major heart surgery. At the age of 44, it was very scary to hear I needed a heart surgery. Dr. McCullough exceeded everyone's expectations. I am grateful to him. I was back to work in 10 days like nothing happened. "

"My surgeon, Dr. Jock N. McCullough is an exceptional doctor as well as a caring and kind person. Dr. McCullough's particular skill and expertise was not only able to repair, rather than replace, my mitral valve, but was able to do so in a minimally invasive procedure, which no doubt made my recovery process easier, with a faster return to good health. Under Dr. McCullough's care I was treated in a most professional and courteous manner."
